About us
Plümo is an online concept store, founded in London in
1998. Proudly independent and family run, we are based in Hackney Downs
and offer joyful and eclectic curations of clothing brilliantly collaged from
all corners of the globe.
‘Plümo Studio’ is our own label that is designed by us and
made in small numbers in our workshops in North London. Our own production runs
are limited and considered, true slow fashion, to achieve the highest quality
and attention to detail of every single garment we make. We only make what
we need to avoid waste. We love working with artisans and makers that
enrich our practice. Amongst them are textile mills from the north of England,
knitwear companies from the Scottish borders, button makers from the Cotswolds
and Indian workshops that still use traditional block printing techniques to
create truly unique fabrics.
Our working relationships are established and long-lasting,
based on respect, loyalty and true craft, which is reflected in the often
decade long relationships with designers, workshop owners and their
families. Each collection is authentic, spans traditional values and
modern practices, embracing craft and the unexpected.

Our intention is to present pieces that can be worn for a very long time, season after season. This reflects in our choice of fabrics, production processes, packaging, and more.
We work with British designers, European artisans & makers across the world. Our curation manifests our unique point of view on modern and creative womenswear.
